Saskatoon-based KeyLeaf, a leading provider of plant-based ingredients for the food, beverage,and nutraceutical industries, is giving back to the community with a donation of $5,000 to the Saskatoon Food Bank & Learning Centre.

Relying on the generosity of local donors for funding, the Saskatoon Food Bank & Learning Centre is committed to ensuring a food-secure Saskatoon, wherein all residents have access to safe, affordable, and nutritious food. The non-profit organization’s Emergency Food Basket Program helps provide 2-3 days of nutritious food items for hungry families and individuals with nowhere else to turn. Last year, 85,750 food baskets were distributed and directly impacted 233,964 children and adults.

“KeyLeaf, with the support of our parent company, Canopy Growth, is extremely pleased to be able to make this donation to the Saskatoon Food Bank & Learning Centre which will help fund their much-needed emergency food program and also enable them to address the underlying issues contributing to hunger and poverty by offering Saskatoon-area residents free literacy courses and placement in workplace training programs.
